“It started on my parents' roof when I was a kid. Now it's our house, our family, and a lot more lights.”
Now we have a house, and we put the whole display up together with our three kids. They absolutely love being part of it: the planning, the setting up, and watching everyone walk through it each night.

When are the Christmas Lights St Ives on?
Every night from 1 to 31 December 2026, from 7pm until midnight. The lights switch on for the first time at 7pm on Tuesday 1 December.
Where is the display?
26 Nicolson Ave, St Ives NSW 2075, on Sydney's Upper North Shore. Use the Get directions button for Google Maps, or find us in the Aussie Christmas Lights app.
How much does it cost? Do we need to book?
It's free and there's nothing to book. Just turn up any night in December. If you enjoy it, please donate to Lights for Kids for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation.
What will we see?
A walk-through display of more than 45,000 coordinated LEDs across seven stops up our driveway: the Gingerbread Arch, the Lollipop Garden, the reindeer and a moving Ferris wheel, a rainbow light tunnel that changes colour as you walk through it, the giant Grinch and the rainbow mega tree, Bluey and friends, and Santa's Safari.
Which charity does it support?
Lights for Kids, raising money for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation. You can donate online, or scan the QR code on the donation sign on the night.
Where do we park?
Please park on the street and be kind to our neighbours: don't block driveways, keep the noise down late at night, and watch little ones near the road.
